RED ALERT FOR FOREST FIRES - Cy Mail 28/7 by Rebekah Gregoriades
The Forestry Department issued a red alert for forest fires across the island on Tuesday.
The department called on the public to be extremely careful while in the countryside and reminded that causing a fire was an offence carrying severe penalties.
In case of smoke or fire, the public should call the Forestry Department on 1407 or the Fire Brigade on 112.
