PAPHOS GENERAL - PATIENTS CARRY EQUIPMENT DUE TO PROBLEM WITH WHEELED TABLES

PAPHOS GENERAL - PATIENTS CARRY EQUIPMENT DUE TO PROBLEM WITH WHEELED TABLES - Filenews 28/7 by Dora Christodoulou

They bought wheeled tables for depositing and transporting medical equipment, but they do not roll and patients are forced to carry them in their hands. The incredible fact is denounced by patients and their relatives, who claim that these individual hospital tables on which patients have dialysis equipment, transfusions or other nursing needs placed, have been received with a problem in their wheels that prevent their movement.

As a result of this malfunction, they complain, patients who have this equipment during their hospitalization or treatment, are forced to carry these special tables loaded in their hands, since they cannot roll them.

The complaints were also confirmed by the MP of Paphos of DIKO, Chrysanthos Savvidis, who told "F" today that he himself has been the recipient of mass complaints from relatives of patients in recent days about this unusual malfunction of medical equipment.

Mr. Savvides stated that he is already making representations to OKYPY about the problem, with the aim of quickly arranging the change of these problematic wheeled tables at Paphos Hospital, but also to investigate how a problematic batch of equipment ended up in the hospital without the problem being realized in time.
