RED ALERT FOR FOREST FIRES - Filenews 19/7
The Department of Forests, in an announcement, informs the public that tomorrow, Sunday, July 19, 2026, the risk of explosion and expansion of forest fires will be at the "RED ALERT" level.
It is emphasized that causing a fire, according to the Forests Law and the Prevention and Extinguishing of Fires in the Countryside Law, is an offense that carries severe penalties.
A warm appeal is made to the public to be especially careful during their excursions, completely avoiding actions and activities that may cause a fire.
Finally, in case someone notices smoke or fire, they are asked to call 1407 (Department of Forests) or 112 (Fire Service) immediately.
