PRESIDENTIAL PALACE MEETING REGARDING PAPHOS PROJECTS - Pafos Live 10/7
During the meeting, the progress of all the projects that had been set out in the Chamber's letter to the President of the Republic was examined in detail, as well as two additional projects of particular importance: the project for the protection and improvement of the southwestern coasts of the Municipalities of Paphos and Ierokipia and the project for the road connection of Paphos Airport with the roundabout next to the Ezousa River.
The representatives of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry had the opportunity to be informed extensively about the progress of each project, to raise the concerns and suggestions of the business community and to ask for specific timetables for their further maturation and implementation.
It was agreed to continue the cooperation and the institutionalized consultation between the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the competent state services, with the aim of continuously monitoring the progress of the projects, resolving pending issues and, where possible, accelerating the procedures that will lead to the start of their implementation.
Government officials reiterated the Government's will to promote the projects of strategic importance in Paphos and assured that both the President of the Republic and the competent Ministers will continue to make every effort to promote and implement them.
At the same time, they informed the delegation of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry that the procedures for the concession of the building that will house the services of the Chamber are in the final stage, with an estimate that they will be completed within the next two to three months.
The Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry expresses its satisfaction with the substantive content of the meeting and the commitment expressed for the continuation of dialogue and cooperation.
The Chamber will continue to closely monitor the progress of the projects and intervene institutionally, with the sole aim of the fastest possible implementation of the development infrastructure that the Paphos district needs.
