Famagusta-Larnaca-Larnaca Airport Motorway
Cleaning works will be carried out on the motorway, in the section between Ayia Napa/Paralimni and Xylotymbos in both directions, from Monday 15/06/2026 to Friday 31/07/2026, from 07:00 to 16:00. Drivers are asked to be particularly careful and comply with the temporary road markings that will be placed.
On the Larnaca-Famagusta motorway, in the direction of Famagusta district, from the exit to the Xylotymbos community to the roundabout at the end of the motorway, from Monday 22 June 2026 until Friday 31 July 2026, between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00, pruning and cleaning works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway. During this time, the right lane in the direction from Larnaca to Paralimni will be closed in sections for a length of up to 3 kilometres.
On the Larnaca Airport-Paralimni motorway, from Monday 03/08/2026 to Wednesday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway.
From Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout, from Monday 03/08/2026 to Wednesday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time.
Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway
Watering works will be carried out on the central island of the Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway, from the Kalo Chorio roundabout to Kofinou, from Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Wednesday 30/07/2026, between the hours of 08:30-15:30. During the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, for a length of 1.5 km at a time.
Larnaca-Nicosia Motorway
On the Nicosia-Larnaca Motorway, from Monday 27/07/2026 until Thursday 06/08/2026, except Fridays and Saturdays, from 8:30 to 14:00, pruning and cleaning works will be carried out on the central island of the Nicosia-Larnaca Motorway in both directions. During the execution of the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of approximately 2,000m. each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lanes.
On the Larnaca-Nicosia motorway, from the Rizoelia roundabout to the Nisou exit, from Monday 03/08/2026 to Wednesday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km at a time.
Limassol-Nicosia Motorway
On the Nicosia - Limassol motorway, from the GSP roundabout to the junction with the Nicosia - Larnaca Motorway (A2) in both directions from Wednesday 08/07/2026 to Wednesday 30/09/2026, daily except weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, the Forestry Department will periodically carry out watering works for plants on the embankments and slopes.
On the Nicosia - Limassol motorway, from Tuesday 28/07/2026 to Thursday 30/07/2026, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, at the GSP roundabout junction The Department of Forestry will carry out pruning works on the trees and bushes of the central islands. During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lane will be closed locally and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
On the Limassol - Nicosia motorway (A1), on Friday 24/07/2026 from 21:00 at night until 05:00 in the morning, emergency works will be carried out to repair safety barriers on the central island of the Limassol - Nicosia motorway (A1) in the direction of Nicosia, near the exit of the Idalion industrial area. During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of approximately 500m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lanes.
On the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1), on Monday 27/07/2026 from 21:00 in the evening until 05:00 in the morning, emergency works will be carried out to repair safety barriers on the central island of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway (A1) in the direction of Limassol, near the exit of the Idali industrial area. During the execution of the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of approximately 500m. Traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lanes.
Limassol-Paphos Motorway
On the Paphos-Limassol Motorway, next to the New Limassol Stadium, from Monday 13/07/2026 until Thursday 30/07/2026, daily Monday to Thursday from 21:00 at night until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, vegetation removal and concrete placement works will be carried out on part of the central island of the motorway. During the works, the expressway lane will be closed in sections in both directions for a length of approximately 1500 meters and traffic will be diverted to the slow-moving lane.
On the Paphos-Limassol and Limassol-Paphos motorways, from Thursday 23/07/2026 until Friday 31/07/2026, excluding weekends, between the hours of 08:00-16:00, cleaning work will be carried out on the central island. During the works, the express lanes will be closed in sections in both directions and traffic will be diverted to the slow lanes.
Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia-Akaki Motorway
On the Nicosia-Denia Motorway, from the Archangelos interchange to the Kokkinotrimithia roundabout in both directions, from Wednesday 08/07/2026 to Wednesday 30/09/2026, daily except weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, the Forestry Department will periodically carry out watering works for the plants on the slopes and slopes.
On the Nicosia – Denia motorway, on Monday 27/07/2026 and Tuesday 28/07/2026, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:00, at the Kokkinotrimithia interchange, the Forestry Department will carry out pruning work on the trees and shrubs of the central island. During the execution of the work, the adjacent traffic lane will be closed locally and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
Nicosia District
In Nicosia and Aglantzia, as part of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are underway from 20 February 2025, and are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, they include Famagusta Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long and a secondary road network approximately 0.8 km long, consisting of a section of Kalavryton, Paphos, Madaris and Semelis streets.
On the Kakopetria – Agios Nikolaos – Pinewood road, heading from Kakopetria to Pinewood, from Friday 17/07/2026 until Friday 31/07/2026, daily except weekends, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance work will be carried out on sections of the road surface of the Kakopetria – Agios Nikolaos – Pinewood road, with a total length of approximately 4 km. During the work, one lane of the road will be closed, in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, using stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the road to Athienou, from the junction with the Pera Choriou Nisou – Aradipo interurban road to Athienou, periodic maintenance work will be carried out on sections of the road from Tuesday 21/07/2026 until Friday 24/07/2026. During the works, one lane of traffic towards Athienou will be closed in sections, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using stop & go and appropriate signage.
On Archbishop Makarios III Street in Lythrodontas, from Mathiatis to Lythrodontas, periodic maintenance work will be carried out on sections of the road, from Monday 27/07/2026 until Tuesday 28/07/2026. During the works, one lane of traffic towards Lythrodontas will be partially closed, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the central island between the traffic lights at the intersection of Agios Alexios Street and Archangelou Avenue up to the Archangelou roundabout, on Saturday and Sunday, 25/07/2026 to 26/07/2026 from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., pruning and cleaning work will be carried out. During the works, the adjacent lane of traffic on the central island will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lanes.
On the Nicosia – Troodos motorway, from Thursday 23/07/2026 until Tuesday 28/07/2026 from 8:30 to 14:00, pruning and cleaning works will be carried out on the central island in both directions. During the execution of the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of approximately 2,000m. each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lanes.
On the Gialia bridge (between the Pera Chorio exit of Kotsiatis Island and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway) on the Nicosia – Limassol motorway, in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia, on Wednesday 29/07/2026 and Thursday 30/07/2026, from 21:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, works will be carried out to replace contraction / expansion joints. During the execution of the works, the left lane will be closed for a length of approximately 800 meters and traffic will be carried out through the middle and express lanes.
On the Gialia Bridge (between the Pera Chorio Nisou Kotsiatis exit and the junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway) on the Nicosia-Limassol Motorway, in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia, on Monday 27/07/2026 and Tuesday 28/07/2026, from 21:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, works will be carried out to replace contraction / expansion joints. During the execution of the works, the middle and express lanes will be closed for a length of approximately 800 meters and traffic will be carried out through the left lane only.
On the road to Lythrodontas from the old Nicosia - Limassol road, past Mathiatis, in the direction from Mathiatis to Lythrodontas, from Thursday 30/07/2026 until Friday 31/07/2026, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the road, with a total length of approximately 1900 meters. During the execution of the works, one lane of the road to Lythrodontas will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, with the use of stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the road to Athienou, until Wednesday 29/07/2026 for periodic maintenance works on sections of the road. During the works, one lane of the road to Athienou will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, using stop & go and appropriate signage.
Limassol District
On the Kato Platres-Prodromos road, from Wednesday, June 24, 2026 to Friday, July 31, 2026, daily except Saturdays and Sundays, between the hours of 07:00–15:00, slope cleaning and slope mesh installation work will be carried out. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for a length of approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
On the Kato Platres – Lemythou road near the village of Lemythou, from Monday 13/07/2026 to Monday 10/08/2026, a private company will be carrying out works to cover a retaining wall with stone. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for a length of approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
On the Limassol – Troodos road near the Tall Tree, from Monday 24/08/2026 to Wednesday 23/12/2026, a private company will be carrying out works to construct a retaining wall with an integrated lifting grid for existing walls. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
Larnaca District
On Peloponnese Street in Larnaca, sidewalk construction works will be carried out from Friday 03/07/2026 until Friday 07/08/2026. The works will be carried out on a section of approximately 100 meters, near the Kamares Roundabout and will require the cutting of part of the road surface. However, vehicle traffic will continue to flow normally, with the implementation of the necessary temporary traffic management measures.
On sections of the old Nicosia-Limassol road, within the Kofinou community, with a total length of 1.5 kilometers, on Friday 24/07/2026 from 07:00 to 15:00, horizontal marking works will be carried out. During the execution of the works, one lane of the old Nicosia-Limassol road will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
On the old Larnaca-Kofinou road, from Friday 24/07/2026 until Friday 14/08/2026, daily except weekends, pipeline construction works will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the period, a section of the road between the villages of Menogia and Kofinou will be closed for a length of approximately 100 meters in each direction and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
On sections of the old Larnaca-Kofinou road, from Klavdia to Alethriko, with a total length of 1.5 kilometers, horizontal marking works will be carried out on Monday 27/07/2026 from 07:00 to 15:00. During the execution of the works, one lane of the old Larnaca-Kofinou road will be closed in sections (100 meters in each direction) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
On the road connecting the old Larnaca-Kofinou road with the Kalo Chorio-Mosfiloti road, with a total length of 1 kilometer, on Tuesday 28/07/2026 from 07:00 to 15:00, horizontal marking works will be carried out. During the execution of the works, one lane of the above connecting road will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
On Faneromenis Avenue in Larnaca, in the section from the Kamares Roundabout to the Agios Charalambos Leprosy Asylum Roundabout, from Monday 22 June 2026 to Monday 17 August 2026, construction works will be carried out for photo-controlled pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, green spaces and asphalt pavements, also within the framework of the Project “Priority Projects of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of Larnaca – Implementation of Bus Lanes and Cycle Paths”. During the works, temporary traffic regulations will be applied on Faneromenis Avenue, in a section of approximately 1,000 meters. During the works, the direction from the Kamares Roundabout to the city center will remain closed to traffic. Traffic heading to the city center via Faneromeni Avenue will be diverted via Nikou and Despina Pattihi Avenue, Kalymnou Street, Agiou Georgiou Makri Street, Kaisareias Street, 1st April Street, ending at the Agiou Charalambos Leprosy Roundabout. In addition, the right lane in the direction from the city center to the Kamares Roundabout will remain closed, with traffic being conducted via the left lane. For the purposes of serving local access, the existing one-way street on Verias, Paros, Naxos and Pierias Streets will be temporarily removed, which will temporarily operate as dead ends. Entry will be allowed exclusively to residents and authorized vehicles of the area.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in a section between the villages of Menogia and Kofinou, from Friday 26/06/2026 to Friday 31/07/2026, daily except weekends, between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00, pipeline construction works will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the works, a section of the road will be closed for a length of approximately 100 meters and traffic will be diverted to an adjacent lane using traffic lights.
On Dimitras Avenue, in Larnaca, from Friday 17/07/2026 to Friday 21/08/2026, works will be carried out to replace a pipe culvert and construct sidewalks, as part of the Project “Priority Projects of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of Larnaca – Implementation of Bus Lanes and Cycle Paths”. During the works, a section of the avenue will remain closed to traffic. As for the section of Dimitras Street, from the junction of Dimitras Street with Apollonos Street, this will be converted into a dead end and entry will only be allowed to business customers.From Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Thursday 13/08/2026, from Monday to Thursday, watering works will be carried out on the central islands of the Larnaca District motorways by the Department of Forests as follows: (a) from Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Thursday 30/07/2026, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the Larnaca - Kofinou motorway, from the Kalo Chorio roundabout to Kofinou. (b) from Monday 03/08/2026 to Thursday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30–15:30 on the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni motorway, from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout and on the Larnaca – Nicosia motorway, from the Rizoelia roundabout to the Nissou exit. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, 1.5 km long at a time.
On sections of the Larnaca – Kofinou, Larnaca – Nicosia and Airport
Larnaca – Paralimni motorways, from Monday 27/7/2026 to Thursday 6/8/2026, between the hours of 09:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon, weekdays except Fridays and weekends, emergency door installation works will be carried out on the central island. During the execution of the works, a section of the right lane of the motorway (tangential to the central island) will be closed, for a length of 100 meters, simultaneously in both directions, successively at various points.
On the Larnaca Airport - Paralimni, Larnaca - Kofinou and Larnaca - Nicosia motorways of the Larnaca District, during the period 27/07/2026 - 30/09/2026, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30 - 14:30, watering works will be carried out on the slopes of the motorways in both directions, by the Department of Forests. As part of the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters each time. Traffic will not be affected.
Paphos District
Asphalt concrete laying works will be carried out on the Paphos - Polis road (B7) from Monday 27/07/2026 until Wednesday 29/07/2026, between the hours of 17:00-06:00.
The works will be carried out in three phases, as described below:
-For Phase A (27/7/2026) the Paphos - Polis Chrysochous road will be closed from the traffic lights near Tremithousa (Papantoniou bakery) to its junction with the road through Mesogi (E747), Griva Digeni Street. Traffic from Paphos to Polis Chrysochous will be diverted from the Tremithoussa Traffic Lights to the right towards Mesogi and then via Archiepiskopou Makariou III and Griva Digeni Streets to Mesogi, on the main Paphos - Polis road (B7). Traffic from Polis Chrysochous to Paphos will be diverted from the junction of the main Paphos - Polis road with Griva Digeni Street to the left towards Mesogi. -For Phase 2 (28/7/2026) the Paphos - Polis road will be closed from its junction with Griva Digeni Street (road through Mesogi) to its junction with Gerolakkou Street leading into the community of Tsada (Tsada - Choulou Road, E702). Traffic from Paphos to Polis Chrysochous will be diverted from its junction with Griva Digeni Road (road through Mesogi) left towards the old Tsadas – Mesogis road (F771), until its junction with the Polis – Paphos road (past the CYTA facilities). Traffic from Polis Chrysochous to Paphos will be diverted from the junction of the Paphos – Polis road with Gerolakkou Road left within the Tsada community (Tsada – Choulou Road
– E702)Tsada and via the road to MINTHIS HILLS in the Konia community, via the Konia – Marathounta – Episkopi road (E710).
-For Phase 3 (29/07/2026) The Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road will be closed from the Olympos area to its junction with the old Tsadas - Mesogis road (F771), despite the CYTA facilities. Traffic heading from Paphos to Polis Chrysochous will be diverted from the junction of the Paphos - Polis road with Griva Digeni Street (road through Mesogis) to the left towards the old Tsadas - Mesogis road (F771), until its junction with the Paphos - Polis road (despite the CYTA facilities). Traffic from Polis Chrysochous to Paphos will be diverted from Gerolakkou Street leading into the Tsada community (Tsada - Choulou Road, E702), and then right towards the Olympus area, up to the junction with the Paphos - Polis road. The works will be completed and the road will be opened to traffic on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 06:00.
