KONIA ROAD ENTERING FINAL PHASE - HOPE TO OPEN TO TRAFFIC TUESDAY AFTERNOON - Pafos Press 20/7
The Konia road is entering the final phase of work, as the asphalting is in full swing, with the Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onesiforou, expressing optimism that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the project will be delivered to traffic on Tuesday afternoon.
As he states in his announcement, many crews are working intensively and continuously, with all efforts focused on completing the project.
Mr. Onesiforou points out that, under the contract, the completion of the project was scheduled for the end of September.
However, as he notes, the Municipality of Paphos and the Municipal Council, through proper coordination and continuous monitoring, managed to significantly accelerate the work, resulting in the project being completed well ahead of the contractual schedule.
According to him, the contribution of the supervising engineers and the Municipality staff, who are on site every day, coordinating the work and working closely with the contractor, is also crucial, so that the project progresses safely, with quality and without unnecessary delays.
“Our goal is to deliver projects that improve the daily lives of citizens, with as little inconvenience as possible for the public. This is why we work every day and consistently,” concludes the Mayor of Paphos.
