The new Commissioner for Communications, Marios Pieri, and the new Assistant Commissioner for Communications, Georgios Georgiou, officially assumed their duties after the completion of their confirmation process before the President of the Republic.
As announced by the Office of the Commissioner for Communications, upon assuming their duties, the Commissioner and the Assistant Commissioner visited the offices of the Service, where they had the opportunity "to meet with the staff and be informed about the multifaceted work carried out within the framework of the responsibilities of the Office of the Commissioner for Communications (Office of the Commissioner of Communications for the Regulation of Telecommunications and Posts and the Digital Security Authority)".
During their visit, it is added, they addressed the staff, toured the facilities and exchanged views with executives of all services, gaining a direct picture of the important work and modern challenges that the Organization is called upon to manage.
In his statement, the new Commissioner stated that significant prospects and ambitious goals are being formed for the coming years, expressing the certainty that, through collective effort, close cooperation and the utilization of the know-how of human resources, the Organization will continue to pioneer and respond effectively to the complex challenges of the digital age.
"The assumption of the duties of the new leadership marks the beginning of a new period, with a commitment to innovation, institutional consistency and the defense of the public interest," it states.
