SUMMER RAINS, LOW CLOUDS OR FOG AND STRONG WINDS ON THE MENU - Filenews 26/6
Seasonal low pressure affects the area.Today, after the dissolution of the local low clouds and sparse fog or fog, the weather in most areas of the island will become mostly clear with temporarily increased clouds. At noon and after, however, clouds that will develop in the mountains may give isolated rains. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort, to soon become mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and gradually on the coast moderate to strong and temporarily locally strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will generally be a little rough, although initially in the southeast and east it will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 37 degrees inland, around 29 on the west and southwest coasts, around 32 on the rest of the coasts and around 30 degrees in the higher mountains.Tonight the weather will remain mostly clear, however gradually there will be locally increased low clouds. Later and during the morning hours, thin fog or fog is expected to form in places, mainly in areas in the east and inland. Winds will initially blow southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, however they will gradually weaken and become descending and locally variable, light, 3 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become generally calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 22 degrees inland and on the coasts and around 18 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the weather in most areas of the island will be mostly clear with temporarily increased clouds, while during the midday hours and after, clouds that will develop in the mountains are expected to give isolated rains.
The temperature until Monday is not expected to change appreciably, thus remaining slightly above normal levels for the season.
