An investigation is underway by Manchester Police, after the death of a man in his 30s during a flight.
A police spokesman confirmed the death of the passenger, while authorities are examining the circumstances under which the incident unfolded on the flight, en route from Larnaca, Cyprus to Manchester.
The BBC published an image of the 30-year-old.
As reported, the flight took off late last Sunday night and landed in the early hours of Monday. Police said they were investigating reports that the man had behaved "aggressively and disruptively" during the flight, and that the pilot had requested priority landing.
According to the same source, the police officers who boarded the aircraft after landing found the man in serious condition. The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
As noted, at 2:25 in the morning, the authorities were notified of a reported attack inside the flight from Larnaca. Officers arriving at the aircraft found the man immobilized and provided him with first aid, including CPR, before taking him to the hospital.
