The owner of Melios Zoo Park, Menelaos Menelaou, gave a statement to the Kokkinotrimithia Police Station.
In a video posted on social media, Mr. Menelaou stated that his testimony lasted about 9-10 hours, while his complaint concerns 16 different cases which, as he claims, constitute both disciplinary and criminal offenses by officials of the Veterinary Services, the Game Service, the District Administration, and the Department of Forests.
He noted that he handed over a detailed 145-page memorandum to the Police, with the aim of facilitating the investigation of the complaints.
At the same time, he stated that from next week he will proceed with a public presentation and analysis of the individual complaints he has submitted to the competent authorities.
