Dr. Hatzimitsis and Dr. Michaelides have been included in the international bibliometric ranking Research.com Best Environmental Scientists 2026.
Diophantos Hatzimitsis (5th place) and Silas Michaelides (7th place) are two of the 8 scientists from universities of the Republic of Cyprus included in this year's ranking for the field of Environmental Science, an element that accurately reflects the level of his research presence in the international scientific community.
The ranking Research.com is based on the D-index, which captures the scientific impact of a researcher through the published work and scientific references related to his or her discipline.
This recognition reflects the systematic research work carried out at the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence of CUT and the Department of Civil Engineering and Geoinformatics Engineering of the Cyprus University of Technology.
