Together, these musicians create a rich and dynamic sound that celebrates the spirit of the Balkans and beyond. Audiences can expect an energetic journey through the musical traditions of Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, and neighboring regions, brought to life through passionate vocals, fiery violin melodies, virtuosic improvisation, and infectious rhythms.

From soulful ballads to high-energy dance tunes, the ensemble blends Balkan folk traditions with elements of jazz, Latin music, tango, and world music, creating a performance that is both authentic and contemporary. Sung in multiple languages and infused with the excitement of Balkan celebrations, this unique musical experience invites audiences to sing, dance, and immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

A few words about the musicians

Marcos Press (Violin): Argentinian violinist with an extensive career in classical music, tango, and world music. He has performed internationally across Europe, Japan, and Latin America and is currently based in Cyprus, collaborating with diverse musical projects.

Philippos Georgiou (Guitar): Cypriot guitarist, educator, and sound engineer with a background in jazz, modern music, and traditional Greek music. He performs regularly while teaching guitar and music theory to students of all ages.

Alexander Rodriguez (Keyboard/Synthesizer): Colombian pianist based in Cyprus, specializing in jazz, Latin and world music. He has performed internationally and is known for his versatility as both a soloist and accompanist.

Catalina Mirea (Vocals): Romanian-born vocalist based in Cyprus, recognized for her versatility across pop, jazz, vintage, Latin, and Balkan music. She performs regularly at concerts and cultural events throughout the island.

Rodrigo Cáceres (Bass): Chilean bassist with an international career spanning jazz, flamenco, Latin, and world music. He has performed at major festivals across Europe, Latin America, and Asia and is an active figure in Cyprus’s music scene.

Andreas Davison (Drums & Percussion): Andreas Davison is a professional drummer and percussionist with over 30 years of performance experience. A graduate of the Modern Music Department at Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Athens, he has collaborated across a wide range of musical genres including folk, Latin, jazz, East Mediterranean, and European music. In addition to performing at festivals, television productions, hotels, and live venues, Andreas has dedicated more than 20 years to music education, teaching drums and percussion while sharing his passion for rhythm with new generations of musicians.

Elina Georgiou (Clarinet): Elina Georgiou is a Cypriot clarinetist and graduate of the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Passionate about cultural dialogue through music, she performs Greek Cypriot, Turkish, Balkan, and world music, while exploring folk and Ottoman traditions. Through her performances and initiatives, including the Bi-Com Music Dialogues and Festival in Nicosia, Elina promotes connection, understanding, and cultural exchange through the universal language of music.
