PAPHOS HOSPITAL - MESS WITH THE ABSENCE OF WHEELCHAIRS - ONLY ONE EMPLOYEE FOR THE ENTIRE HOSPITAL AND HE WAS ON LEAVE - DOCTORS WERE HUNTING FOR KEYS TO ACCESS THEM - Filenews 29/5 by Dora Christodoulou

Amazing scenes today at Paphos Hospital. The reason for the tension created was the absence of wheelchairs for transporting the sick and injured, since the employee in charge of using these wheelchairs was absent on leave.

As strange as it may sound, in the entire Paphos Hospital there is only one employee for this duty, a fact that with the leave of the employee in question today, contributed to the fact that there are no wheelchairs for the transport of the hospitalized or visitors who had a problem with their movement. This situation caused shouts and protests in the morning from citizens who accompanied patients who needed wheelchairs to be admitted to the hospital.

Doctors who were on duty were forced to look for the keys to the area where the patient wheelchairs are kept, in order to at least allow their own escorts to assist in their movement within the hospital.

And in the comments of doctors and officials about how a simple issue was allowed to create such a serious issue, the answer was that they did not know that the employee who handles them was currently on leave.
