The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy is proceeding to strengthen the digital economy and the digital transformation of the state, with the introduction of electronic invoicing for businesses. As part of this strategy, the Deputy Ministry reminds entrepreneurs of the possibility of sending invoices electronically to the State, with the aim of speeding up payments and reducing bureaucracy.
From now on, electronic invoicing will be mandatory for all new tenders concerning IT systems, IT equipment and digital transformation services, which are announced by the Department of Information Technology Services and the Directorate of Digital Policy and Communications of the Deputy Ministry.
The transition to e-invoicing is not just a regulatory compliance, but also a tool that is expected to bring significant benefits to the business world. According to the new procedures, electronic invoices will be given priority and will be paid within 20 days of their receipt or acceptance. This is expected to reduce delays and provide more immediate liquidity to businesses.
The new procedures will also contribute to the reduction of bureaucracy, by eliminating paper procedures and automating payment flows, reducing errors and saving resources. At the same time, the transparency and security of the processes are increased, as the digital archiving of invoices allows full access to the shipment history.
In addition, the Deputy Ministry mentions the possibility of electronic acceptance of invoices through the existing PEPPOL Access Point of the Central Government, further facilitating the invoice submission process for businesses.
This initiative is part of the digital transformation of the state, which aims to improve public services and enhance economic growth through innovation and digitalization.
