A foreigner who lived in a residence in Paphos with his wife and two minor children caused an incident outside the District Welfare Office. The foreigner who never paid rent to the owner of the property was evicted today by court decision.

The officials of the welfare office, after the eviction, offered the family a sum of money sufficient for the family to stay in a hotel for a few days until they settled in a new apartment. The father refused to receive the money and demanded that a house be handed over to him. He even caused an incident in the courtyard of the office and was eventually arrested.

The story continues. The woman and her children were transported by taxi paid by the state to a hotel which is also paid for by the state. And yet in the late afternoon the woman and children left the hotel after they felt that it did not have all the amenities they needed.
