Through DNA and fingerprint tests, the second victim of the double tragedy in Germasogeia, which occurred on Holy Saturday in Limassol, is expected to be identified. Samples have been taken from the body of the second victim for scientific examinations, while at the moment there is no official evidence to confirm his identity.
According to information from Filenews, from the data collected by the authorities to date, it appears that the second victim had booked the apartment for accommodation through the Booking platform a few days before the tragedy.
The investigations are continuing by the investigators of the Limassol Police Department and according to the latest information on our website, the apartment belongs to a specific owner but its management has been assigned to a company that rents it to third parties. So far, no deposit has been received from the person in charge of the company, which is expected to be made in the coming days.
The second victim, according to information, comes from an Eastern European country. It is recalled that from the legal autopsy performed on the bodies of the two victims by the medical examiner Nikolas Charalambous, it was found that their death was due to crushing
In another development, next Saturday, exactly one week after the tragedy, friends and compatriots of the 27-year-old Nigerian will gather outside the apartment building to pay tribute to the two victims and pray for their souls. The rally will take place at 7 pm, and those present will leave candles and flowers in memory of the victims.
