THE ELECTRONIC CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATIONS IN PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND KINDERGARTENS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2026/27 BEGINS - WHAT IS THE PROCESS - Filenews 20/4
The Directorate of Primary Education of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (YPAN), reminds the parents and guardians of students of public Primary Schools (grades C - F) and Kindergartens (4 4/12 – 6 years old) that the confirmation of registrations, for the school year 2026-2027, will take place from April 21 to 24, 2026.
The confirmation of registrations will be done, as in last school year, electronically for all students who will attend grades C – F of Primary School and all children 4/12 years old and over (with date of birth 01/09/2020 – 30/04/2022), who will attend Public Kindergartens, as well as for all children aged 4/12 – 4 8/12 years old (with date of birth 01/01/2022 – 30/04/2022) who will attend Community Kindergartens, for the school year 2026-2027.
The Electronic Registration Confirmation Portal at https://engrafes.moec.gov.cy/ address will be accessible to all parents/guardians, so that they can electronically confirm the registration of their children from Tuesday, April 21 to Friday, April 24, 2026. Parents/guardians can also access this Portal through the online Link (Banner) on the website of the Ministry of Environment and Energy www.moec.gov.cy, on which a User Manual of the electronic platform for parents/guardians is also posted.
Specifically, on April 21 – 24, 2026, the parent/guardian should follow the following procedure in order to confirm the registration of his/her child:
- Connection to the Electronic Registration Confirmation Portal:
- -Select the Confirm Registration icon
- -Entry by the parent/guardian:
- -his/her mobile phone number,
- -his/her e-mail address (optional),
- -their child's ID card number or passport or ARC number (depending on the -identification number registered with the school), and
- -the date of birth of his/her child in the form of dd/mm/yyyy.
Please note that if any field requires letters to be completed, they must be entered in Latin characters (English alphabet). Also, all numbers (personal registration number, passport, ARC, telephone) must be written without spaces, without hyphens, slashes or dots, and without zeros at the beginning.
- The System automatically proceeds to check and confirm the data entered.
a) With the correct entry of the above information, the System will send a Temporary Access Code (OTP) to the mobile phone of the parent/parent/guardian.
b) In case the details were not entered correctly, a message will appear to re-enter the necessary information or to contact the child's school to confirm the above information.
- -Registration of the Temporary Password (OTP) in the System, at which point the student's details will be displayed.
- -In order to complete the registration confirmation, the System will optionally request additional information about the student. The parent/guardian may or may not enter this information. Then, it should select Confirm Registration.
Parents/guardians who have difficulty making the electronic confirmation can contact the school where their child will attend, in the school year 2026-2027, for assistance, on working days and hours.
Parents/guardians, who will successfully complete the electronic confirmation of their child's registration, will receive a relevant message on their mobile phone and email address (if it has been provided).
On April 27, 2026, schools will contact, by phone, the parents/guardians who will not be able, for any reason, to confirm the registration of their child electronically, so that after securing their consent, they can confirm the registration of the specific students themselves.
