STRATEGIC PLANNING 2027-2029 BY THE GENERAL ACCOUNTING OFFICE - WHERE WILL THE EMPHASIS BE PLACED? - Filenews 20/4
The General Accounting Office of the Republic has published its Strategic Planning 2027-2029, setting out its main priorities and lines of action for the coming years, with the aim of strengthening financial management and modernizing the public sector.
According to the announcement, the Strategic Plan constitutes a comprehensive framework of actions to promote sound financial management, upgrade state procedures and enhance transparency and accountability. At the same time, it aims to provide quality services to the State, citizens, businesses and other stakeholders.
As pointed out, the main mission of the Accounting Department is to ensure the proper management of public resources and the provision of reliable accounting services, through the support of the financial management of the state, the formation of an effective framework for public procurement and the protection of the financial interests of the European Union.
Particular emphasis is placed on digital transformation, more efficient use of resources and alignment with European practices and standards, with the aim of improving the functioning of public administration.
The implementation of the Plan will be based on specific actions and measurable objectives, which will be systematically monitored, to ensure continuous improvement and the achievement of the intended results.
