POST OFFICE - SUSPENSION OF SHIPMENT OF ITEMS TO THE USA - Filenews 3/4
The Department of Postal Services has announced a temporary suspension in the shipment of postal items to the United States, citing problems found in the customs management of shipments bound for the US.
In a statement, the Department of Postal Services states that to date and despite repeated efforts by the Cyprus Post, no clear answers have been received from the US Post Office as to the cause of the problems.
He notes that only the sending of documents to the US will be accepted.
As he states, this decision was taken to protect shippers, until the smooth handling of shipments within the US is ensured.
Finally, he assures that efforts are being made to solve the problems observed, while a new shipping method will soon be implemented, for which a relevant information will be issued.
