POLICE ON THE STREETS - CHECKS FROM 13/4 TO 19/4 WITH EMPHASIS ON SPEED LIMIT CHECKS - Filenews 14/4

The Police announces a week of information and policing with intensified traffic controls, with an emphasis on carrying out speed limit checks, with the aim of preventing serious and fatal road collisions.


The intensified checks start from today, Monday 13/04/2026 and will last until Sunday 19/04/2026, while at the same time they will be carried out at a pan-European level, in the context of the cooperation of the Cyprus Police with the European Traffic Police Network ROADPOL.

Speeding is one of the main causes of serious and fatal road collisions.
