In the area of the Anavargos district, both on the road to Silo and on the road of the Paphos Hospital, works are underway to improve the sidewalks and greenery of the area. This is pointed out by the Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, stressing that the municipal authority is methodically and consistently proceeding with the overall improvement of the road network, sidewalks and greenery of this busy area.
In particular, trees that over time caused problems, as their roots lifted the pavement slabs, have been removed, as Mr. Onisiforou points out. In their place, he clarifies, new trees will be placed, specifically fig trees, more suitable and safer for the urban fabric.
In relation to the inconvenience observed on the road to the Silos, the Mayor of Paphos clarifies, the repair of the road surface will finally be carried out by the company carrying out the project, tomorrow morning.
With the completion of the works, traffic will return to normal and the area will regain its normality, concludes Angelos Onisiforou, stressing that with responsibility and continuous monitoring, the Municipality of Paphos provides solutions where needed.
