Members of the Police, after relevant information, went around 8 pm on April 14, 2026 to a store in Limassol, where they found a man inside it and in a state of intoxication.

Specifically, the owner of the store was in his store after the alarm system had previously sounded. At some point, an unknown man entered the store who was in possession of a bottle of alcoholic beverage and he seemed to have symptoms of intoxication.

In an attempt by the members of the Police to verify his details, he attacked a female police officer. Additional members of the Police were called to the scene and arrested the man, but he resisted arrest after attacking a police officer again, while he seems to have threatened the members of the Police with a broken bottle. Immediately after his arrest, the man allegedly injured himself by hitting his head with his hands. From the examinations that followed, it was found that he is a 23-year-old resident of Limassol.

Both the arrested man and two members of the Police visited the Limassol General Hospital where the 23-year-old allegedly refused to be examined. The two members of the Police were given first aid and were discharged.

The 23-year-old was brought before the Limassol District Court yesterday morning where the case was immediately registered, and he was then released on parole. The case was set for a hearing on 15/5/2026.

Around 5 yesterday afternoon, members of the Police responded to a call concerning a person who was in a property in Limassol and was causing concern, since he seems to be in a state of intoxication.

Members of the Police located the person in question, who was pushing tables and chairs while shouting and causing concern. While one of the police officers approached him and asked for his details, he allegedly refused and hit the officer with his hands and feet, while allegedly insulting the police. He was eventually arrested after previously resisting arrest by beating two other police officers.

From the examinations that followed, it was found that this is the 23-year-old who had been arrested and presented in the morning of the same day before the Court.

The three members of the Police visited the Limassol General Hospital where they were given first aid and discharged.
