The protection and well-being of wildlife as a key element of culture, environmental consciousness and institutional responsibility is the focus of an event organized on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 18:30, at the "Vrysi" Cultural Center in Chloraka.
The event, on "The well-being of wildlife as an indicator of culture – Legislation and practices", is co-organized by the Office of the Commissioner for Environment and Animal Welfare and the Cultural – Environmental Club of Chloraka.
Through the positions of competent officials, the existing legislative framework for the protection and management of nature and wildlife will be presented, as well as implementation practices concerning, among other things, the protection of endangered species, such as sea turtles and the Mediterranean monk seal. At the same time, the responsibilities of the competent services and the modern challenges faced by wildlife will be highlighted.
The event also includes an open discussion, with the aim of strengthening the dialogue around environmental responsibility and the implementation of legislation in practice. The Commissioner's Office invites you to cover the event, helping to inform citizens about an issue that is directly linked to respect for the natural environment.
