VEHICLE ROAD TAX - DEADLINE EXPIRES TOMORROW, 31/3 - Filenews 30/3
The Department of Road Transport reminds that the deadline for the renewal of registration certificates for the year 2026 expires on March 31, 2026.
Citizens are invited to proceed with the renewal of their vehicle registration in time, in order to avoid inconvenience, especially during the last day of the deadline.
After March 31, 2026, renewals will be subject to a fee of €10, plus an amount equal to 10% of the registration corresponding to the amount due.
It is noted that the process of refunding the charge to eligible vehicle owners, who renewed their registration certificate on March 12 and 13, 2026, is in progress and will be completed in accordance with the procedures of the General Accounting Office of the Republic.
