
THE NEW CALL CENTRE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ROAD TRANSPORT IS IN OPERATION - Filenews 2/3
As of Thursday February 19th, the new integrated call center of the Department of Road Transport, which is part of the Ministry of Transport and Works, was put into operation. The aim of the new service is to improve the daily service of citizens and to provide faster information on all issues that fall within the responsibilities of the Department.
The new telephone service center of the Department of Road Transport is in operation
The Department of Road Transport, Ministry of Transport and Works, is putting into operation the new integrated telephone service center. The aim is to improve the daily service of citizens and to provide faster information about the services of the Department.
The call center operates at 22807000 from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 07:00 – 17:00, throughout the year, excluding public holidays.
The public can contact the call center for information and service, including issues related to vehicle recalls. It is noted that the existing telephone service number for vehicle recalls will gradually cease to operate, as the service is now integrated into the new call center.
Through the new call center, citizens will be able to receive information and guidance on issues concerning, among others:
Issuance and renewal of driving licenses
Renewal of marketing authorization
Registration, transfer and immobilization of vehicles
Vehicle recalls
Vehicle Technical Inspection (MOT)
Online services and appointment arrangement
Professional Licenses and Road Transport Issues
existing incentive and sponsorship schemes.
At the same time, it is possible to record citizens' requests and complaints, with the aim of managing and resolving them more effectively.
The new call center was put into operation on Thursday, February 19, 2026 and is part of the ongoing process of modernizing the services of the Department of Road Transport, utilizing modern technological solutions for the benefit of citizens.
