The Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the British Government, in his statements after the end of the Council of Ministers.

As he mentioned, all safety protocols have been taken and that there is coordination of the competent services.

He added that the members of the Council of Ministers were informed about the security measures. He stressed that there was an exchange of views, pointing out that the country has not participated and will not participate in military operations.

He also stated that information was provided in relation to the repatriation of citizens.

Mr. Letympiotis stressed that the diplomatic contacts between President Christodoulidis and the Minister of Foreign Affairs are continuous.

He noted that the information that was given was that the British bases would not be used in a military operation. "After the incident we were in coordination with the British government and the command of the British bases. For decades, the Republic of Cyprus has proven to be a humanitarian hub. All steps will be taken to express our dissatisfaction, both for the way the issue was approached and for the fact that the residents of the British Bases were not informed."

He added that "the message we are sending is that we remain strictly committed to humanitarian aid."

All protocols that could be activated have been activated, adding that the exact origin of the drone is under verification.

In addition, he said that yesterday at midnight the Security Council met again, where the measures were evaluated and continue to be evaluated. We approach the situation with sobriety and all the necessary measures are taken.

Finally, he said that the measures will be evaluated daily. "All the measures at our disposal are being taken."
