The Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the British Government, in his statements after the end of the Council of Ministers.
As he mentioned, all safety protocols have been taken and that there is coordination of the competent services.

"After the incident we were in coordination with the British government and the command of the British bases. For decades, the Republic of Cyprus has proven to be a humanitarian hub. All steps will be taken to express our dissatisfaction, both for the way the issue was approached and for the fact that the residents of the British Bases were not informed."
He added that "the message we are sending is that we remain strictly committed to humanitarian aid."
