Hundreds of hunting cartridges were left by hunters during their last excursion in semi-mountainous Limassol, specifically in an area between the communities of Trimiklini, Lania and Agios Mamas, causing an unacceptable image and an outrageous situation.
Residents of the area who had gone out for a walk were confronted with a sight that was more reminiscent of a garbage dump than a spring Cypriot landscape.
Cartridges, paper packaging and other garbage of course, empty plastic bottles, snack packages, etc., were scattered everywhere on the mountain within a radius of 300 meters, as they reported to Filenews.
Their walk evolved into a campaign to clean up the area. The result, several garbage bags, filled with what the hunters deemed appropriate to get rid of during their last hunting trip this year.
