The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a new update regarding the further stay of those Cypriot citizens who remain in the UAE, with the data as they are at the moment, on Sunday afternoon.
According to a post by the Ministry on platform X, the Emirati authorities cover the accommodation costs for citizens who remain in the capital Abu Dhabi, while for citizens who remain in Dubai, efforts are being made to settle the issue, with more information expected soon.
It is added that citizens who are in Dubai, if they travelled with Emirates, are asked to contact the company, which covers the stay. Similarly, citizens who are in Dubai and have travelled with other airlines, are requested to indicate the name of the company in the blank space that exists as "Address 2" when registering online on the http://connect2cy.gov.cy platform.
Those who have already registered are requested to update this information by logging in to their account, it is filled in.
