Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mainly cloudy, while initially isolated rains or even a storm are expected, mainly in the north, the mountainous areas and the east.

However, local rains and even isolated storms are expected, especially in areas in the south, the west and the mountainous areas. In a storm, hail is not ruled out, while on the highest peaks of Troodos it is possible to fall sleet or even snow.

The forecast in detail:

Low pressure continues to affect the area. On Saturday and Sunday, dust will be suspended in the atmosphere at times.

Today, the weather will be partly cloudy and at times mainly cloudy, while initially isolated rains or even a storm are expected, mainly in the north, the mountainous areas and the east. However, local rains and isolated storms are expected, especially in areas to the south, west and in the mountains. In a storm, hail is not ruled out, while on the highest peaks of Troodos it is possible to get sleet or even snow. The winds will initially blow mainly from the north, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, however soon in the south and west they will become southwesterly to northwesterly and will strengthen, to blow moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be slightly rough, however progressively it will become generally slightly rough and locally rough. The temperature will rise to around 18 degrees inland, around 20 on the coast and around 9 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, locally increased cloudiness will be observed, especially in the western half of the island, where it is not excluded that isolated rain will occur. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and on the coasts temporarily moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will generally be slightly turbulent to turbulent. The temperature will drop to around 8 degrees in the interior, the southeastern and eastern coasts, around 12 on the rest of the coasts and around 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will form locally.

On Friday, locally increased cloudiness will be observed at intervals, which may give isolated rain, mainly in the west. The island will be affected by an enhanced westerly wind field.

On Saturday, the weather will gradually become mainly cloudy with medium and high clouds, while isolated light rains are expected at times, especially during the afternoon hours and beyond. On Sunday, local rains are expected, as well as isolated storms, mainly after noon. On the highest peaks of Troodos, sleet or snow is likely to fall.

The temperature on Friday is not expected to change significantly, however, a slight increase is expected on Saturday and a slight decrease on Sunday, thus fluctuating close to the average climatological values ​​of the season. The depth of snow in Chionistra, at the time of publication of the bulletin, was 27 centimeters.
