BROAD MEETING ON ISSUES OF OPERATION AND UPGRADING OF KATO PAPHOS PORT - Pafos Live 25/3
In a broad meeting held at the port of Kato Paphos, with the participation of the Mayor and officials of the Municipality, the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Ports Authority, the Director General of the Ports Authority and officials, as well as the President and the Director of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, issues related to the operation and upgrading of the port basin were discussed extensively.
In the context of the meeting, the prospect of expanding the jetty with the aim of enhancing the protection of vessels, as well as the improvement of the infrastructure to facilitate the mooring of cruise ships, contributing to the further upgrading of the port, were examined.
At the same time, issues concerning professional fishermen, coastal shipping and in general the need for more effective management of the premises and the operation of the port were raised.
The meeting was held in a very constructive atmosphere, with a common willingness to cooperate with all stakeholders, with the aim of promoting substantial solutions and solving long-standing problems that affect the region.
