On Thursday 5/3/2026, between the hours of 21:00-23:00, the British Bases Police will close a section of the Larnaca - Ayia Napa highway in the direction of Ayia Napa, between exits 63 ("ASO Stadium") and 64 (Xylofagou).
The closure is taking place in the context of a re-enactment of a fatal road collision that occurred on February 13, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation of the case.
Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution, follow road signs, and comply with Police instructions.
During the closure, traffic will be channelled through the Ormideia – Xylofagou road.
The British Bases Police apologizes in advance for any inconvenience caused.
