Crafting, wild foraging, QiGong and TaiChi classes are coming up at the Episkopi Environmental Information Centre in Paphos. On Sunday, a Paper Crafting workshop is on with Maria Karamanli showing children and adults how to create colourful, interactive insect designs using cutting, folding and layering techniques.

This will be a creative and very hands-on experience for young visitors, which helps build motor skills and ignites imagination. Offered in Greek and English to participants as young as five, the workshop is open to a diverse crowd, running from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

In April, Katie Richards will return to the Centre for two more events on wild foraging. On April 4, her Adventures in Wild Foraging presentation will share useful information on safe and sumptuous foraging, including local edible and medicinal flora. After a thorough presentation and discussion on seasonal foraging in local habitats, Richards will lead participants to Ezousa valley, at a different elevation than the March foraging location.

Richard’s next presentation on April 19 will take wild foraging to the next level as she will share herbal preparations, simple recipes, tasty treats and tea for participants. The Reaping the Rewards events will start at 11.30am and will be a sensory experience to remember. Meanwhile, adding to the centre’s rich programme, there is a QiGong and TaiChi class every Friday at 3pm, led by Mei Yeung, bringing more experiential activities to the Episkopi Environmental Information Centre.
