Weak low pressure affects the area, while a barometric low in the Western Mediterranean moves east and begins to affect the island. Dust will be suspended in the atmosphere from time to time, the concentrations of which will be temporarily increased.
Today, the weather will be mostly cloudy, while locally thin fog or fog is expected, in the morning hours mainly in the eastern half of the island and later mainly in mountainous areas. Gradually, isolated light rains are expected. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and gradually in the west and north moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be a little rough, but gradually it will become a little rough to rough and locally rough in the west and north. The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland, on the west and north coasts, around 19 on the south and east coasts and around 10 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy, while gradually in the west and north, there will be isolated rains, without excluding an isolated storm. Winds will initially blow northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the west and north moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, however later the winds will weaken and turn mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will generally be a little rough, however later in the south and east it will become calm to a little rough.
On Monday, local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly after noon, initially in the west and north and progressively in the rest of the areas. Hail is likely to fall in a storm, while snow or sleet is expected to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
On Tuesday, the weather will initially be partly cloudy, while isolated rains or even a storm are expected in the western half of the island. The weather, however, will soon become mostly clear with temporarily increased clouds. On Wednesday the weather will be generally mostly clear.
The temperature until Monday is not expected to change appreciably, remaining above normal levels for the season, however on Tuesday it will drop, remaining at the same levels on Wednesday, thus fluctuating close to the average climatic values of the season.
