The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Maria Panagiotou, had a meeting with the European Commissioner for Health, Oliver Varcheli and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Christoph Hansen, on Monday, on the sidelines of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels. After the end of the Council, the Minister told KYPE that she asked for financial assistance, as well as the immediate start of vaccination, with a positive response from the Commissioners to both requests.
"I have asked both of them for financial help for our livestock farmers. There was a positive response from both, so the official process in all this will begin," he said.
