"EQUALITY" COMPLAINS ABOUT CORRUPT PEOPLE IN THE HUNTING SERVICE - CALL TO ANYONE WITH EVIDENCE TO SUBMIT IT

The Sectoral Council of Hourly Paid Game Wardens of "Equality" speaks of "internal corruption" in the Game Service, on the occasion of the recent arson of vehicles of the service in Evrychou and Paphos.

"We are reasonably convinced that criminals and poachers act without fear and inhibitions, on the basis of information they receive from corrupt individuals within the Service," the Council said in a statement.

The Sectoral with a press release is addressed to every citizen who has information or knows who may be responsible for the criminal actions against the equipment of the Game Service, asking to "give them immediately to the Authorities, even anonymously".

"The perpetrators do not burn iron; burn the shield for the protection of Cypriot nature" he says and adding that "mobilization is needed", calls on all those responsible and especially the Administration of the Service to listen, consult and cooperate with the frontline workers in order to deal with the attacks it receives from criminals.

The Branch states that the Police has a role in solving crimes, adding, however, that "the Head of the Game Service must crack down on internal corruption".

Addressing the Head of the Service, he states, among other things, that "we expect to first see your own actions against organized crime and then we will take the good example from you. Behind closed doors and introversion, problems cannot be solved."

He also addresses the gamekeepers on the front line, to whom he declares that "Equality" is and will remain their shield of protection, claiming the safety and dignity they deserve.
