The average IQ varies significantly around the world, revealing interesting trends for the highest-performing countries.
In particular, according to information from worldpopulationreview, IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is an indicator that measures a person's cognitive ability in relation to the population average. It assesses skills such as logical thinking, problem-solving, and information comprehension.

China – 107.19
Taiwan – 107.10
Hong Kong – 107.06
Macau – 106.73
South Korea – 106.43
Japan – 106.40
Iran – 106.30
Singapore – 105.14
Russia – 103.16
Mongolia – 102.86
According to the rankings, Cyprus is in 56th place, above Sweden and below Norway, with an average IQ rating in 2024 of 98.5 points.

Europe's performance balanced
Despite the dominance of Asian countries at the top of the rankings with average IQs above 106, such as China, South Korea and Japan, the picture in Europe shows a more balanced performance.
Countries such as Spain (102.3), Slovenia (101.96), France (101.42) and Finland (100.3) show average indicators just above the 100 mark, while Greece with an IQ of 100.07 is in the center of the European scale and in 29th place worldwide.
In contrast, countries such as Albania (97.19) and Bulgaria (97.79) record lower average indicators, highlighting the differences within Europe that can be linked to different educational policies, socio-economic factors, and investment in human development.
