For vehicles that may cause injuries, fire or electric shock, the Department of Road Transport warns in an announcement.
As it states in a statement, the vehicles referred to came from information received from the Consumer Protection Service, during the 3rd week of 2026 on the website of the EU Rapid Alert System for Dangerous Non-Food Products (Safety Gate).
Specifically, the TOM warns of the Ford Focus passenger car and the Ford Transit Courier passenger truck, dated 20/9/2025-24/10/2025, warning of a risk of fire. It warns of the risk of injury for the Ford Puma passenger car and the light commercial vehicles Ford Transit Courier and Ford Tourneo Courier, dated 29/1/2025-22/9/2025, as well as for the light passenger vehicle Ford e-Transit for the period 25/8/2021-24/9/2025.
In addition, it warns of the risk of injuries from the Ducati Panigale and Streetfighter motorcycles, dated 24/10/2024-13/6/2025, as well as the risk of injury from a Honda motorcycle, without specifying the model and time period of manufacture. The warnings also include the motorcycles KTM 390 ADVENTURE R, 390 ADVENTURE X, 390 ENDURO R, 390 SMC R of the period 16/4/2025-20/10/2025.
It also warns of the risk of electric shock and fire for the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Klasse passenger car, for the period 17/11/2025-19/12/2025.
The TOM warns of the risk of injuries for the Bürstner caravan truck, on the Campeo, Elegance, Limited, Lineo, Lyseo, Travel Van models, from the period 19/4/2024-6/10/2025.
It warns of fire risk for the KIRCHHOFF ECOTEC truck, and specifically for the BLUEPOWER BP27E and BLUEPOWER BP19E models, for the period 1/2/2021-29/8/2025.
A warning is also issued for the passenger cars Nissan Townstar (5/2/2021-16/5/2025), Citroen Berlingo (18/12/2023-30/9/2025), Citroen C4 and C4X (26/1/2023-24/2/2023), Ford Mustang (14/2/2014-2/10/2017), Peugeot Rifter and Peugeot Partner (27/9/2023-16/7/2025), for the Ford Capri and Ford Explorer (15/8/2024-7/5/2025) and for the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach-Packet of the period 15/4/2024-3/12/2025.

The Department invites manufacturers, representatives, distributors of the manufacturer, importers and sellers, who may have placed or place such products on the market of the Republic of Cyprus, to inform the Department of Road Transport. It is noted that the above economic operators must take all necessary measures to ensure that the products in question are recalled as provided for in the relevant legislation.
The Department also invites consumers, in case they own the above cars or motorcycles, to contact the manufacturer or the manufacturer's representative or distributor for instructions.
In the event that a manufacturer, representative, distributor of the manufacturer, importer or seller refuses to comply with the above consumer rights, the consumer is invited to submit his complaint in writing to the Consumer Protection Service through www.consumer.gov.cy website.
