RAIN, SNOW AND FROST IN THE MOUNTAINS - WHEN DOES THE WEATHER CHANGE?

Low temperatures, rain and snow are expected today and tomorrow. Our area, according to the Department of Meteorology, is affected by a cold air mass.

Today, the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains are expected from time to time, without ruling out an isolated storm, mainly in the western half of the island. Locally, snow or sleet may fall in the mountains. Winds will blow moderate to strong in places.

The temperature will rise to 12 degrees inland, around 15 on the coast and 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will be observed locally. In the evening, in fact, the temperature will drop to -2 degrees and frost will form in the mountains and semi-mountains.

On Monday, the weather will be partly cloudy while isolated rains may occur, as well as light snowfall in the mountains.

On Tuesday, the weather will be mostly clear, while on Wednesday, it will be mostly cloudy with medium and high clouds.

The temperature is not expected to change appreciably and will remain below the average climatic values.

The height of the snow in Chionistra, at the time of issuing the bulletin, was 22 cm.
