PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS 2026 - POLLING STATIONS ABROAD

 Filenews 5 January 2026

The Ministry of Interior announced that, in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections of May 24, 2026, polling stations will operate abroad for voters who are already registered in the electoral roll or will be registered by April 2, 2026.

As stated in the announcement by the Ministry of the Interior, in order to enable the operation of polling stations abroad, a special electoral list will be drawn up, to which the details of the registered voters from the permanent electoral roll of Cyprus will be transferred, following a relevant declaration submitted by the interested parties, in the context of the last quarterly revision of the electoral roll before the Elections, i.e. from January 3, 2026 until April 2, 2026.

"Given that the current electoral legislation provides for the operation of polling stations abroad in cities, for which at least thirty (30) voters from each constituency will submit relevant interest, it is expected that polling stations will operate in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, London, Manchester and Brussels."

The submission of a declaration form for the exercise of the right to vote in a center abroad is done either electronically through aps.elections.moi.gov.cy website, or in printed form at the Embassies / Consulates of the Republic abroad, at the local Offices of the District Administrations, at the Citizen Service Centers, at the Citizen Centers of the Cyprus Post and at the Ministry of Interior. Declaration forms can be obtained from the above areas and the website of the Elections www.elections.gov.cy.
