Doctors, pharmacists and patients appear desperate because of the problems that the software system of the General Health System (GHS) has been presenting in its operation since this morning. The reactions are now stronger since this is the second consecutive day on which the registration and execution of prescriptions is almost impossible.
As doctors and pharmacists told Filenews, at a time when seasonal infections are on the rise and the needs of citizens are greater, patient service "is emerging as the most difficult task".
Citizens who go to pharmacies to execute their prescriptions are in a difficult position, if and when their doctor manages to prescribe them, while in some cases pharmacists are forced to ask patients to leave and come back later.
