The Health Insurance Organization (HIO) informs GHS beneficiaries that incidents of sending false and malicious SMS text messages to mobile phones, which appear to come from the GHS, using the name GESY, continue to be observed.
It is pointed out that the HIO and the GHS have nothing to do with these messages.
These messages mislead the recipient that they must follow a specific electronic link in order to correct their personal information as shown in the examples below:


It is emphasized that the HIO will never ask for passwords, login details, payment details or any other personal data through text messages (SMS), as well as will not ask citizens to carry out any financial transaction through links.
"In case you receive a message of this type, please do not open the link and delete the message immediately!", he concludes.
