But BARK Air is not just another airline. It is a dog-first travel model that brings four-legged passengers to the forefront. The company was conceived by BARK, a business initiative that became known for its subscription boxes of toys and treats for dogs, with the aim of providing a truly humane travel experience for animals and humans together.

A new era for traveling with pets
The idea of BARK Air was born when its founders realized how difficult it was to travel with their own animals. The limitations of traditional airlines, from boxes and the need for early arrival to the stress and insecurity of dogs, have prompted the company to reinvent the way people travel with their pets.
At the core of BARK Air is a philosophy that is more reminiscent of a five-star hotel for dogs than a simple shuttle service. More specifically, before each flight, owners and their pets - i.e. dogs of all sizes and in some cases cats and birds - have access to a concierge that collects information about their needs and tailors the experience to their trip. On the day of travel, passengers - human and four-legged - arrive at the airport only 45 to 60 minutes before take-off, avoiding the usual stresses of long flights, security screening and long waits.

More than just a journey
The concept of BARK Air is not just limited to comfort and safety; The company promotes a culture where dogs are considered real members of the family and attempts to provide a solution to people who until recently faced the choice between inappropriate circumstances or leaving the dog behind. For example, before and after the flight, corporate services also include proven procedures to reduce stress in animals: from special areas for comfortable relaxation and socialization to special drinks for the comfort of pressure on the ears during takeoff and landing. The experience is treated like a real travel adventure, with attention to detail and the emotional factor of both the dog and the owner.
In addition, for those who wish - and can afford - Bark Air also offers an Island Retreat for dogs on the island of Kailua, Hawaii. Guests there enjoy a four-day stay in a luxury beachfront accommodation, daily dog-priority experiences, and travel support from BARK Air's Companion Concierge team. Prices start at $2,690 per night, and if someone wants to extend their stay on the island, Bark Air's services cover transportation coordination, document management, and program coordination, all "to make your dog's stay as comfortable as possible."
