Deterioration of the weather with a noticeable drop in temperature, snow in the mountains and rain, the Department of Meteorology predicts from tomorrow. Our area is affected by high pressure, which will be replaced by weak low pressure from Friday.
Today the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will be variable weak. The temperature will rise to 15 degrees inland, around 17 on the coast and 6 degrees in the higher mountains, where initially frost will be observed locally.
On Friday, the weather will gradually become mostly cloudy until the afternoon and there may be isolated rains, mainly in the mountains.
Over the weekend the weather will be cloudy at times and local rains are expected. Snow or sleet is expected to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
The temperature on Friday is not expected to change appreciably, while until Sunday a noticeable drop is expected, to fluctuate below the average climatic values.
The height of the snow in Chionistra, at the time of issuing the bulletin, was 30 cm.
