WITH THE ACCELERATOR AT FULL THROTTLE - PASYXE ANNOUNCE FESTIVE HOTEL PACKAGES

Filenews 11 December 2025 - by Angelos Angelodimou

The year for the tourism industry is dynamically entering the final stretch, setting another record, following last year's. Arrivals and revenues reached new levels, proving with numbers the successful year we have gone through. In fact, the estimates are positive for next year as well, given the messages arriving from abroad.

One step before the end of the year, PASYXE announced yesterday the festive packages offered by its member hotels during the last days of the year, giving a boost to tourist accommodation during the Christmas and New Year period.

A significant boost in the mountains is also given by the Christmas Villages, an institution that seems to have been embraced by a large portion of the population, especially on weekends.

The message sent a few days ago by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Costas Koumis, in the context of the General Assembly of ACTTA, was also positive, pointing out that the three-year period 2023-2025 can be described as "the ultimate period of recovery of Cypriot tourism.

PASYXE Packages

Yesterday, PASYXE announced the special packages that its members will offer during the holiday season. As stated in an announcement, the member hotels of the Pancyprian Hoteliers Association (PASYXE) welcome this year's festive season with specially designed festive packages, offering visitors unique experiences in mountainous and seaside destinations throughout Cyprus. The Association invites the public to visit the website of PASYXE to choose the package that suits their needs and to proceed with a direct reservation at the cooperating hotel units. The initiative aims to boost tourist traffic within Cyprus during the holidays.   https://www.cyprushotelassociation.org/special-offers or Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/pasyxe/

Stimulation from the Christmas Villages

At the same time, the Christmas villages are giving a tonic injection to the mountain resorts, an institution that seems to have been embraced by the public. Mainly on weekends, a large number of visitors go to the mountains, either to spend the day pleasantly or even to spend the night. After all, in recent years, significant investments have been completed in mountainous areas, giving new life to the areas that have been degraded for years.

Indicatively, speaking yesterday in Sigma, Konstantinos Konstantinou, Officer of the Troodos Tourism Development and Promotion Company, noted that the mountains are living their own summer at this time, as there is an increased attendance of people in the Christmas Villages, as a result of which the mountainous areas are also financially supported.

The institution, he added, is a huge success, with multiple benefits for mountain communities. According to Mr. Constantinou, the increased mobility is mainly due to seasonality. During the winter season, villages are not a popular destination — except on days when it snows. However, with the establishment of the Christmas Villages, the picture changed completely. On weekends many visitors go either for a day trip or an overnight stay.
