WEBSITES ACROSS THE WORLD DOWN AFTER FRESH CLOUDFLARE OUTAGE

 in-cyprus 5 December 2025

Cloudflare announced it is investigating issues affecting its technology after users across the world reported experiencing issues with its services.

The malfunction is causing numerous websites and applications that rely on the platform to display errors or become temporarily unavailable. Cloudflare published its latest update a short while ago, stating it “continues to investigate the issue”.

Although the problems do not amount to a complete collapse of services, several users, particularly on social media platform X, are reporting connectivity issues. Some also note that Canvas and Zoom are experiencing temporary instability.

Cloudflare is an internet infrastructure company that provides many of the core technologies powering online platforms. This includes tools that protect websites from cyberattacks and ensure they remain online amid heavy traffic.

Cloudflare provides its internet infrastructure services to companies worldwide, typically in a way that is invisible to users.

Cloudflare’s scheduled maintenance

Cloudflare has confirmed it is performing planned maintenance at its Detroit (DTW) data centre until 13:00 UTC (15:00 Cyprus time).

The company warned that during this work, there may be minor delays or temporary service interruptions as some traffic is being rerouted.

However, there is no official confirmation yet that this planned maintenance is directly connected to the user reports regarding access problems.
