THE STORM WARNING IS UPGRADED TO ORANGE FROM 7pm TONIGHT TO 5am WEDNESDAY MORNING. A FROSTY NIGHT IS EXPECTED

The yellow warning for the severe weather phenomena brought to Cyprus by the low barometric Byron is upgraded to orange. According to the Department of Meteorology, the warning is in effect from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Initially, it was reported that a combination of rains and isolated thunderstorms would affect. In Cyprus, hail may fall in a storm, while the winds will change and strengthen.

According to the forecast, in the afternoon the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected at times. Hail may also fall in a storm. Winds will blow up to strong 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop to 10 degrees inland, around 13 on the coast and 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost is likely to form locally.

Tomorrow the weather will be mostly cloudy and isolated rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected at times. Hail may also fall in a storm.

The temperature will rise to 18 degrees inland, around 20 on the coast and 10 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Thursday the weather will be partly cloudy and isolated rains or even isolated thunderstorms are expected from time to time.

On Friday and Saturday the weather will be partly cloudy at times.

The temperature will not change significantly on Thursday, to fluctuate close to the climatic averages. On Friday and Saturday, a slight increase is expected gradually.
