The rainfall that fell from December 1 until today, Thursday, December 11, amounts to 64% of the normal for the month, according to data from the Department of Meteorology.
Overall, the average rainfall recorded in the free areas since the first of the month amounts to 67.2 millimeters, with the normal precipitation for December amounting to 105.6 millimeters.
From 1/10 until today, the rainfall is only 54% of normal for the season.
By region, Polis Chrysochous alone has exceeded the normal rainfall for the month at 128%. They are followed by Stavros tis Psokas and Gefyri Panagia, which are at 93% of the normal for the month, and Athienou, at 92%. Nicosia (Athalassa) is at 86%.
The lowest rainfall compared to the normal December was recorded in Saittas (31%) and Paphos Airport (32%).
