Weak low pressure affects the area.
Today, the weather will be mostly cloudy and local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, initially on the coast and later in mountainous and inland areas. On the highest peaks of Troodos, sleet or snow may fall. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and gradually on the coast moderate to strong and temporarily strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be calm to a little rough, but gradually it will generally become a little rough. The temperature will rise to 17 degrees inland, around 18 on the coast and 8 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will become partly cloudy and it is possible that isolated rains will fall in the mountains. On the highest peaks of Troodos, snow or sleet is likely to fall. The winds will be mainly northeast, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and the sea will be a little rough. The temperature will drop to 8 degrees inland, around 10 on the coast and 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will form locally.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be generally mostly clear.
