PAPHOS - EPIPHANY CELEBRATION - 6 JANUARY

With the traditional splendour and solemnity, the Holy Epiphany will be celebrated in Paphos. The established official celebration that takes place on a rotating basis in the coastal cities of free Cyprus and which this year will take place in Paphos, will be attended by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides and the Archbishop of Cyprus, George.

The focus of the celebration will be the Holy Church of Agioi Anargyroi, where Archbishop George will preside over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and perform the Great Blessing of the Epiphany. Subsequently, the established procession will be formed which will end at the Port of Paphos, where His Beatitude will preside over the ceremony of the immersion of the Holy Cross.

The procession will be accompanied by the Cyprus Police Philharmonic, while the National Guard Philharmonic will pay tribute to the courtyard of the Church and the Port. The procession will pass through Agapinoros, Ikarou, Konstantias, Theoskepastis and Alkminis streets and through Poseidonos and Apostolou Pavlou Avenues will end at the pier in Limanaki.

Traffic will be interrupted on each street before the arrival of the procession and will resume after it has passed. The following areas will be available for the parking of vehicles: the precinct of the Holy Church of Agioi Anargyroi, the stadium of the 6th Primary School, the Parking Lot of the Archaeological Park and the area behind the buildings of the Cyprus Ports Authority.
