The "Avakas Gorge" trail will be closed from Saturday due to weather conditions.
In a statement, the Department of Forests of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the public that due to weather conditions, increased water flow, slippery soil but also due to the risk of falling rocks and volumes of soil, the "Avakas Gorge", in the Akamas National Forest Park, will remain closed from December 6, until it is judged that the danger has completely passed for visitors.
The Department of Forests apologizes for any inconvenience to the public, noting that the closure is considered necessary for its own safety. It will come back with a new announcement, when the gorge will be completely safe for visits.
